Beautiful, secluded cottage nestled in the glorious Oxfordshire countryside in the foothills of the Cotswolds, this hidden gem is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet holiday away with family or friends.

Good to know

Situated down a long private drive, with a good sized garden, this lovingly restored cottage has everything you could need for the perfect getaway. The house has a handmade fitted kitchen with induction range cooker, a large reception with dining area, log burner and seating / TV area. There's also a smaller reception with a pool table, and a study. Upstairs there is a double master bedroom with en suite, a further double, a bedroom with 3 singles, and a bunk bed room with an addtional futon / chair. Outside there are views across the rolling countryside, a decent sized garden with a BBQ, outdoor furniture and children's play structure. There are some glorious walks right on your doorstep, some of which even have a pub at the end!

Other Details to Note

Please be aware that, while we list the cottage as sleeping 10, only 9 people can be accommodated on standard beds. The 10th bed is a futon chair/bed located in the bunk room. This will only be made up as a bed if you book for 10 people, if you would us to make this up with fewer than 10 guests, just let me know. The cottage is close to a small business centre (consisting mainly of local small artesian businesses). There is very little noise coming from the business centre and we're sure that it won't spoil your enjoyment of the peace and tranquility of the surrounding countryside. Beds are all UK standard 190cm in length with the exception of the king size bed in the master bedroom and the 2 bunk beds which are 200cm long.

House Rules

For those guests with dogs, it would be great if you could keep them downstairs and off the furniture. Also, it's really important to remove dog poo that might be deposited outside right away. Please don't enter the area through the gate at the rear of the house (behind the shed). This is not part of the garden. We also have a few rules for the pool table... * No food or drinks on the table, please. * Please replace the cover on the table when not in use. * We recommend that under 11s don't use the table. * We also recommend that people who haven't previously played practice their cue grip and bridge on the windowsill before attempting a shot on the table. The pool table is very easy to damage and very expensive to re-cloth, so I'm afraid that we will seek to recover any costs associated with damage to the table.

Neighborhood

New Yatt is a lovely village just outside the Cotswolds. There are some stunning walks right on your doorstep (a few of which have a nice country pub at the end!). Further afield, the market town of Witney is just 2 miles away and Oxford is 12 miles. There are some great things to see nearby - the quintessential Oxfordshire towns of Burford and Woodstock are both a short drive away and Blenhiem Palace is just 7 miles from Glenfield.

Guest Access

Guests have the whole house and garden to themselves. We also own a 19 acre field adjoining the cottage, which you are very welcome to explore!
