Good to know
What's great about this property is that it's a sanctuary, tucked away on a quiet residential street, just 100 meters from Jericho's vibrant high street. Walking through the door you are immediately embraced by a large, warm and bright living area, with a TV and sofa at the front and a dining area at the back, towards the kitchen, and french doors leading out to a good sized back yard. The kitchen, at the back of the ground floor, is modern and well equipped, with a dishwasher, electric oven, induction hobs, a large fridge-freezer and a washing machine. Up the stairs, the first room you meet is the recently fitted bathroom. This is good sized bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Next up is a good sized double room with a double bed, desk and wardrobe. Further along the corridor you have the master bedroom with a extensive wardrobe space.
Other Details to Note
Parking: We can often arrange free parking for you - please scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Message Hosts" to discuss. Alternatively, Cranham street does have a limited number of spaces, but use is restricted to 2 hours between 08:00 - 18:30, Monday - Saturday. Most visitors tend to use the park and ride bus service, where you can park your car in a car park on the outskirts of the city and take a bus in. The bus stop is an 8 minute walk from the cottage. Alternatively, there is a paid car park at Walton Well Road, 10 minutes walk (800m) from the property. At the time of writing, the rate for 24 hours is £15.60. Another option would be to use one of the parking space sharing sites (such as JustPark) to arrange to use someone's spot closer to home.

Neighborhood
The cottage sits in the heart of Jericho - Oxford's trendiest neighbourhood. Thanks, in no small part, to its proximity to several Oxford colleges, Jericho has a young and cosmopolitan, yet affluent vibe. The main street (Walton Street) with its shop, cafes, bars and restaurants is wonderfully vibrant and characterful, and just 170 meters from your front door! Slightly further afield, you are a 10 minute walk to Oxford Train Station (direct services to London, Bicester Village, Manchester and many others). You're also just 15 minutes walk to the city centre. You're also just a few minutes walk from Oxford's ancient Port Meadow, which is a picturesque animal grazing common, used continuously as such since the 8th century. Here you can walk along the River Thames and stop for a drink the the excellent Perch pub.
